Must Farm Bronze Age Stilted Settlement - Cambridge Archaeological Unit
The Must Farm Timber Platform is a later Bronze Age pile-dwelling or stilted settlement that was destroyed by fire. The site was discovered in 1999 in the side of an old brick quarry on the western edge of the Fenland town of Whittlesey. The structure was built and occupied over three thousand years ago (1300-800 BC) and was located above a small watercourse which ran along the southern edge of the Flag Fen Basin, a place already renowned for its extraordinary Bronze Age finds.
